The central location makes the house an ideal starting point for hiking in the Romsdalen mountains in the summer, and for the touring to summits like Kirketaket in Isfjorden, Trolltindene, Kongen, Dronninga, Romsdalshorn, Trollstigen and the summits in Innfjorden and Måndalen.
The Romsdalseggen hike season starts when the snow has melted in the Summer, and it lasts until September/October.
